About Overcliff

Overcliff is a spacious and comfortable house within approximately 100 yards of the stunning Porthcothan Bay.

Although the house is capable of taking up to 10 persons it can be equally as delightful for a couple.

Porthcothan Bay is a special place with a sandy beach full of character and is ideal for surfing, coastal walks, sand castles, swimming and fishing.

There are spectacular walks in either direction from the beach along the coastal path with the rock islands of Trescore lying a short way off the coast.

The house is sited in an attractive, well established and secluded garden of shrubs and lawns and has plenty of room for parking.

Enjoy Cornwall at its best from this peaceful holiday home.

The house is set well back from the road and enjoys great privacy and a spectacular view of the valley (but not of the sea).

The house is furnished and fully equipped to a very high standard with carpets and rugs in most rooms.

Ground floor

Kitchen – There is a good sized, well equipped kitchen with electric cooker, 2 refrigerators (large and small) with freezer compartments, dishwasher, microwave and ample storage space.
Dining room – The kitchen opens into a dining room, which offers seating for up to 10 people.
Drawing room – A large room, with a spacious seating area, log burner, colour TV (26 inch) with video and DVD. There is also a payphone and radio/CD/cassette player.
Conservatory – From the drawing room you can access the conservatory with stunning views of the valley. The conservatory has a dining table with seating for up to 10 people.
Utility room – This room has been well equipped for laundry, with a washing machine, drying rack and tumble dryer.
Bathroom – With bath, wash basin and lavatory.
Shower room – With electric shower, lavatory, wash basin and shaver point.
Double Bedroom – The downstairs double bedroom is a generously proportioned room with a 5 foot wide sleigh bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and wash basin.
Double Bedroom – Ideally suited for children with (2 foot 6 inch) bunk beds, cot, wardrobe and wash hand basin.
First floor

Double bedroom – The master bedroom with 5ft wide double brass and iron bed, single bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and wash basin.
Twin bedroom – This is a good sized twin room with far reaching views over the valley, two single beds, storage shelves and a small wardrobe
Twin Bedroom – Another room with lovely views over the valley, two single beds and a chest of drawers.
Utilities and facilities

Electricity is included.
Broadband connection.
Pay phone.
Hot water is supplied by CalorGas Combi heater (also included).
Two double and six single duvets, all pillows, blankets, under slips and tea towels are provided. Please bring your own sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases and towels – charges for providing sheets, pillow cases and making up beds are Single bed £9 and Double bed £18.
All necessary cleaning materials are provided in the kitchen and in the utility room.
Body boards are available in the house – wet suits/surf boards can be hired in the village shop.
A barbeque is available outside and can be used in the secluded garden.
