About Hazel Lodge

Hazel Lodge is nestled in a private woodland location just north of Shotley Bridge in Northumberland. The luxurious holiday cottage is designed with a natural touch and has high-end finishes and furnishings, perfect for a peaceful escape for two adults. The lodge is divided into three sections: a cosy kitchen/living area, a welcoming lobby/dining room, and a beautifully designed bedroom. The fully equipped kitchen is ideal for whipping up a romantic dinner, and the comfy sofa in the living area is perfect for snuggling up in front of the 50" smart TV. The bespoke bedroom features a king-size bed, a stunning freestanding bath, a two-person shower, and an en-suite bathroom. Step out from the bedroom onto your private patio with a hot tub and traditional sauna for the ultimate relaxation experience.

Hazel Lodge is perfectly situated in the charming village of Shotley Bridge, known for its conservation area and picturesque setting by the River Derwent. Enjoy scenic walks to nearby villages like Ebchester and Medomsley, or use local amenities in Shotley Bridge, which include two small supermarkets stocked with all the essentials for your self-catering stay. For more shopping options, Consett is just two miles away, and you’re only a short drive from the historic towns of Hexham, Newcastle-on-Tyne, and Durham. These nearby places offer a variety of restaurants, shops, and cultural attractions, making Hazel Lodge an ideal base for exploring the local area.

Venturing further afield, Northumberland offers a wealth of outdoor adventures and historical sites. The North Pennines provide stunning landscapes for hiking and exploring, and you're close to discovering natural wonders like Sycamore Gap and High Force waterfalls. The spectacular Northumberland coastline will bowl you over with miles of empty sandy beaches. History enthusiasts will love visiting Hadrian’s Wall, where you can walk in the footsteps of Romans. For those seeking more adrenaline-fueled activities, mountain biking in Kielder Forest, sailing on Derwent Reservoir, and fishing on the Tyne or Derwent Rivers are all easily accessible. Hazel Lodge offers the perfect blend of luxury and nature, ensuring a memorable and romantic stay in one of the UK's most beautiful regions.

Accommodation Comprises:

Hazel Lodge is a beautiful blend of modern lines and soft shades. The result is a serene, tranquil holiday home that complements its woodland surroundings.
