Yew Tree Lodge is child and dog-friendly, so perfect for families of all ages. It's one of Woodcombe Lodges' 4-star holiday lodges, and the facilities are excellent. This single-storey timber holiday home is great for couples or families, with one king-size and twin bedrooms. An additional bed chair in the living area lets bigger families squeeze in an extra guest. The lodge's L-shaped living area, which includes a sitting and dining space, opens onto a veranda with panoramic views across Exmoor and will be your favourite spot to relax. Minehead is five minutes by car, a scenic walk or a gentle bike ride away, letting you quickly get to the heart of the action while enjoying the peace of rural Somerset.
The location of Yew Tree Lodge lets you have two holidays in one. You're only a mile from Minehead's famous seafront, shops, cafes, and pubs, yet surrounded by the rural beauty of the spot on the edge of Exmoor National Park. The owners of Woodcombe Lodges appreciate that parents need a break as well, which is why they've included an outdoor play area, games room and putting green on site. You can have fun and make happy memories by trouncing your teens at putting golf or table football, and watching younger children build their confidence (and tire themselves out) on the swings.
Minehead's seafront has attracted visitors for well over a century. The long sandy beach, picturesque promenade and variety of places to eat and drink keep it popular in all seasons. Buy a day pass to Butlins for the rides, amusements and entertainment, or book a seat on the heritage West Somerset Railway. The 630-mile South West Coast Path starts in Minehead, with a nine-mile stretch to Porlock Weir. The elevation and terrain provide a superb challenge for experienced hikers. Shorter (and easier) walks include the 1.5-mile route around Culver Cliff Green with a hard level surface, or the 2.5-mile coastal route to Bossington.
Yew Tree Lodge can be booked with other Woodcombe Lodges to allow you a holiday with your friends or extended family while keeping your own space.

Yew Tree is a single-storey timber lodge with a long deck and beautiful views of Exmoor National Park.
Outside: The veranda runs the full width of the lodge and has outdoor seating. There is parking next to the property. Guests can use all of the site's leisure amenities, including three acres of gardens.
Additional Information: Two well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement. Bed linen is included. Towels can be hired at £5 a set. The washing machine and tumble dryer are in the laundry and information room. A cot and high chair can be provided if ordered. Bus is within half a mile which include the Open top bus that runs from Minehead to Ilfracombe, depending on the season. Smoking is not allowed.
