Book a Child Friendly Cottage

Self-catering provides an excellent accommodation solution for families, with plenty of space and flexibility to take the holiday at a pace that suits you. You can prepare meals at times that fit around your day's activities and personal routines and ensure you eat within your budget, whether you choose the fun of a barbeque on the beach or treat the family to a meal out in a restaurant. From leisurely breakfasts together in your pyjamas' to relaxing in front of the fire with a glass of wine once the little ones are tucked up for the night, self catering provides all the comforts of home in a new and exciting setting.

Many of our holiday homes have large gardens where the children can let off steam and some have provided extra activities for kids such as swings, trampolines and games rooms. You may also want to take a look at our Farm Holidays for a taste of country life.

Tips: Many owners provide cot facilities but may not provide the bedding for the cot as people often prefer to use their babies own bedding, so please clarify at the point of booking. If you have a young child, you may want to establish if outside areas are enclosed and whether there are any unfenced ponds, streams or rivers. Some owners are able to provide additional services and facilities such as stair gates, high chairs or even a babysitting service but these may need to be arranged in advance so speak to the owner at the point of booking.
