Manifold Cottage is a lovely two-storey stone-walled retreat created from a charmingly converted former cowshed and hay loft at Hall Farm. The Peak District holiday home sleeps four, with a cosy double bedroom for the grownups and a fun bunk room for the kids, both offering beautiful views over the Manifold Valley. The open-plan living area has a well-equipped kitchen, a dining table for four, and a comfortable seating area with an electric fire, a smart TV with Netflix, an Alexa Echo, and plenty of books and games. Outside, you'll find a lawn with seating overlooking Thor's Cave and the valley, plus access to a play barn, a large rear lawn, and two outdoor play areas. There's also a utility space with laundry facilities for your convenience. As one of three private holiday cottages at Hall Farm, it's a great choice for couples and families.
Hall Farm is in the Peak District village of Wetton, where a traditional pub and a tearoom are half a mile away. The area is superb for outdoor activities, with beautiful walking and cycling paths right on your doorstep. A short 15-minute walk will take you to the impressive Thor's Cave, a natural cavern with outstanding views. The Manifold Trail, perfect for biking or pushing a buggy, is nearby and runs alongside the River Manifold. The neighbouring villages of Alstonefield, Hartington, and Ilam are just a short drive away, each offering unique charm and additional walking trails. For days out, you're ideally placed to visit major attractions like Alton Towers, Chatsworth House, and the Heights of Abraham. Peak Wildlife Park and Matlock Farm Park are great for family days out, while the historic Ilam Park and Tissington Village provide lovely settings for more leisurely exploration.
With so much to see and do, Manifold Cottage is a fantastic base for a memorable holiday in the Peak District. Outside: Besides sharing the outdoor games areas and heated play barn, guests have their own garden with seating and a parasol where they can admire the views of Thors cave. There is parking close to the cottage. Guests of the three cottages at Hall Farm share a utility room with laundry facilities.
Additional Information: Well-behaved dogs are welcome at Hall Farm, with a weekly cleaning surcharge applicable for guests who bring pets. Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. The owner can provide a range of child equipment such as a high chair, cot, and stairgate.
