About Turadh Cottage

Turadh Cottage is your sanctuary on the Isle of Skye. Park your cares on the mainland and step into the welcoming embrace of this gorgeous detached holiday home with stylish interiors and enviable views of the Cuillin Mountains. Located in the friendly community of Eabost on the Uillinish peninsula, it's only five minutes from Struan and the popular Bog Myrtle Cafe for when you want to fuel up over freshly brewed coffee and homemade cake. Families love the space at Turadh Cottage, which also suits couples and friends, including guests who use a wheelchair.

If you’re thinking about a trip to the Isle of Skye, Eabost on the Uillinish peninsula is a lovely spot to start your adventure. It’s a quiet area, perfect for those who enjoy a relaxed pace. You can take a walk around Loch Bharcasaig, where you might catch sight of seals lounging on the rocks or spot some interesting birds. If you’re into history, the nearby Dun Beag broch is worth a visit - it’s an ancient tower that gives you a real sense of the island’s past. The roads around Eabost are great for a leisurely bike ride, and the whole area is just a photographer’s dream with its stunning landscapes.

As for the rest of Skye, there’s plenty to keep you busy. If you like hiking, the Quiraing and Old Man of Storr are must-dos as they offer incredible views and are well worth the effort. The Fairy Pools near Glenbrittle are another highlight, especially if you’re travelling with kids - they’ll love splashing in the clear water. For a bit of history, Dunvegan Castle is a fantastic day out, with its fascinating tours and beautiful gardens. And don’t miss out on the local culture - there are regular ceilidhs where you can experience traditional Scottish music and dance. Plus, the seafood here is top-notch, and there’s nothing like enjoying a fresh meal after a day of exploring. With good roads connecting everything, it’s easy to get around, so you can see all the best spots without any hassle. Skye really has something for everyone, whether you’re up for an adventure or just looking to relax.
